Seasons of Grief
The season of love, is one of loss
Flowers flourish by the gravestone
That has your name outlined in moss
Oh, I’m tear-drenched to the bone
Summertime bliss is now a scarcity
The hours are a daze
The world lacks clarity
I live my life for yesterdays
Oh, pray not for the dead
But for the living left grieving
Yet- clocks tick and leaves turn red
The pain will fade, memories leaving
Time travels,seasons change
Winter’s ice shall numb my pain
Though idea seems strange
Happiness will come - again.
