Untitled poem 1#
Today I saw centuries wash away
Rain and possibility, down the drain
Cloud castles crumble- besides you, today
A multiverse will never live again
Yet I still stand- I cut costs and bargain
As saplings battle through damp soil anew
My straying eye still traces the golden sun
As it shines down my bleak gray avenue,
These temptations- I long to be above
But ‘Twas not meant for human frailty-
Not eternal hate, nor poetic love
My bones ache for life, even after thee
Is it beauty or tragedy, that though
You’re gone, the zephyrs still dare to blow.
